Where to watch Bed Friends?
Bed Friend is streaming on iQYI every Saturday, starting on the 18 of February 2023.
It’s highly recommended to use a VPN especially when watching BL series. There are streaming sites like NetFlix, Viki, GagaOOLala, iQIYI, Hulu, Viu, and many others that may limit broadcast reach due to copyright and other legal stuff. A VPN is safe, reliable, and legal.
Synopsis
Uea (James Supamongkon) dislikes playboys while King (Net Siraphop) is – in many ways – the definition of a player or a ‘Casanova’. Both work in the same company and see each other regularly. What started as an intense, almost hateful regard by Uea for the latter turns out to be a camouflage and perhaps even a defense mechanism as a result of painful past romantic experiences. Can both do a 360 turn and become lovers instead? [Synopsis © Psycho-Weird]
First Impressions
Episode 1 started with plenty of drama and some intimate scenes meant to titillate. The big problem is that it tries so hard to impress the viewers that it fails miserably.
The episode is chaotic, without logic, and introduces too many characters at the same time. It feels like the production team is desperate for viewers to watch the show.
- James Supamongkon who plays the ‘conservative’ and ‘ordinary salaryman’ is nothing but ordinary. He resides in a posh, expensive condo apartment all by himself, drives a car, and has all the pretty gadgets. He is characterized as someone with a painful past. This is the result of being abused – physically and emotionally – by his dear Mom who continues to nag and asked for money. He was seen in a bar all by himself, yet apparently looking for a companion – to do what? Walk on the beach and hold hands? The characterization is already a contradiction in itself. And those puppy eyes desperately in need of sympathy?
- Net Siraphop as the playboy co-worker has an even more expensive loft, with an equally expensive car, and all the gadgets a modern guy possesses. With such an attractive look, and donning stylish clothes, he appears alone and without any companion (read: sex partner). Can a ‘Casanova’ be so lonely and living a singular, boring life? Siraphop has the looks and the raw acting talent to make a move in the BL scene. Hopefully, he’ll grow as an actor and find some solace with a reputable talent management that supports him with his ‘artistic’ ambitions;
- MyDramaList says of the series director: “Thanamin Wongskulphat, nicknamed Cheewin, is a Thai director. “ And yet, this is another directorial attempt to impress viewers, but with all the wrong scenes and with actors performing like ostriches with their heads buried in the sand.
iQYI streams this series and you can watch it at your own peril.

Main Cast and Characters
The series stars Net Siraphop as King – described as a Casanova – obviously for being sexually active and pursuing one-night stands and maybe even love?! The guy is sexy beyond words.
Co-star is the ‘demure’ yet expectant Uea (James Supamongkon) who plays an opposing character, yet is totally into sex and romance or a mix thereof, who knows? He has this doe-eyed look like some conservative boy who has a dark side to his nature. Get my drift?
Series is under the directorial helm of Cheewin Thanamin, of Why R U and YYY series.
An old-timer BL fan way back in 2007. I started out loving BL after watching the Takumi-kun series from Japan, went on collecting BL manga, and watched old BL anime such as Junjou Romantica and the likes. Love of Siam allow me to transition into Thai, while Amphetamine gave me glimpses of Taiwanese BL magic. I love to write reviews and I’m one of the administrators of Psycho Weird.
